The Industrologic UWDT is a standalone watchdog timer and monitor circuit that can be triggered with logic level or open collector digital outputs from a microcontroller or single board computer, or with RS-232 serial data from any communication protocol.

In the Watchdog Timer mode it can be used to increase the reliability of nearly any microcontroller or single board computer system by monitoring a signal, and activating a reset circuit or cycling the system power if the signal is no longer present.

In the Monitor mode it can report the presense or absense of a signal being monitored by indicating either of these two states with the relay.

  • Convenient screw terminal block connections for relay and digital trigger signals
  • DB9F and DB9M pin-to-pin connections provide pass-through for RS-232 signals
  • Jumper selectable monitoring of either RS-232 transmit or receive signal
  • Can be triggered by RS-232 data of any baud rate
  • 10 amp Form "C" relay with connections to all contacts
  • LED indicators for trigger and relay activation
  • Adjustable time periods of 0.7 to 7.7 seconds (+/- 20%) for both trigger frequency and relay on time
  • Extended time models 7.7 seconds to 5.9 minutes (+/-20%) available as Custom Order Products
  • On-board power supply for all circuitry
  • Pin-type power connector for easy connection to wall block power supplies
