PinSwitch cable release switch - $59

The Industrologic PinSwitch is a microswitch mounted on a specially designed aluminum block that allows the switch to be activated by a 1/8th inch diameter "pin" or other object. It can be used as a trip-switch, or, when for safety reasons, it is desirable to activate an electrical device from a distance with a line or cord.

The aluminum block contains two 10-32 thread mounting holes and can be easily mounted on surfaces of nearly any thickness simply by changing the length of the mounting screws.

The microswitch included with the PinSwitch assembly is a commonly available single-pole double-throw snap-action microswitch with 3 amp contacts, and is mounted with 2-56 machine screws for easy replacement.

The PinSwitch comes complete with a flexible 1/8th inch diameter plastic coated cable constructed with a loop on one end for easy connection, and is useful for applications where side forces are expected during extraction.
