The Industrologic DR51 is an Atmel AT89C4051 microcontroller based single board computer designed to provide a digital I/O and relay package that can be used as a programmable industrial controller or as an RS-232 slave device.

The DR51 includes, pre-programmed into the microcontroller, a special version of Industrologic's simple programming language Tiny Machine Basic (written for the hardware on the DR51 and including keypad instructions), and the microcontroller chip can be re-programmed using any number of software development tools available for similar Atmel microcontrollers.

  • Based on the Atmel AT89C4051 microcontroller operating at 11.0592 MHZ
  • Convenient screw terminal block connections for all relay and digital I/O connections
  • Serial RS-232 port with true RS-232 interface and DB9F connector matching PC compatibles
  • Two 10 amp Form "C" relays with LED indicators for on/off status
  • Eight digital logic levels signals usable as inputs or outputs
  • .1" header connector to provide easy connection from digital I/O to switch matrix keypads
  • General purpose software controllable LED
  • 512 byte EEPROM for storage of small programs or configuration information
  • On-board +5 volt power supply including screw terminal connection for external circuitry
  • Pin-type power connector for easy connection to wall block power supplies
  • Tiny Machine Basic programming language for the DR51 programmed into the microcontroller
  • (Includes switch matrix keypad instructions to make the DR51 a "universal keypad encoder")

The DR51 package is shipped complete with all items necessary to immediately begin application development:

  • The DR51 circuit board
  • A serial port cable for connection to a PC compatible computer
  • A wall-block power supply
  • Host computer software and programming examples
  • Hardware and software reference manuals
