README.TXT file for the Industrologic, Inc. SIO-1000

This sub-folder (subdirectory) contains the following software
for the Industrologic, Inc. SIO-1000 interface board. 

The latest version of these files can be found on
Industrologic's web site: http://www.industrologic.com

Other general purpose communication and terminal emulation programs
can be found in the UTILITY sub-folder. For the Windows environment
we suggest TERM232.EXE.


1. Windows based data acquisition and control program (SIOWIN32.EXE)
   Description: This is a limited and easy to use data acquisition
   and control program for the SIO-1000. It can be customized to use
   as a monitor and display for SIO-1000 inputs.
   Requirements: 32 bit Windows operating system
   Installation: Copy program to the desktop or to a folder.
   To run: Start, Run, Browse (to find program where you put it), OK

2. Windows SIO-1000 to web page program (SIOHTML.EXE)
   Requirements: 32 bit Windows operating system, true multitasking
                 system to utilize program as more than a demo
   Installation: Copy program to the desktop or to a folder.
   To run: Start, Run, Browse (to find program where you put it), OK

3. DOS based demonstration program (SIODOS.EXE)
   Requirements: DOS     
   Installation: Copy to hard disk and run, or run from diskette

4. BASIC language source code for the DOS based demo program (SIODOS.BAS)
   Requirements: GWBASIC, MicroSoft QuickBasic 4.5, or PDS 7.0
